Day 342: Shades of brown

I've been collecting falling leaves lately. There are so many different shapes and colors.  I'm going to run out of space at home soon hehehehe I have so much stuff! :P

I can't believe we are in December already and Christmas is around the corner!  I'm so happy that today we will decorate the Christmas tree! I love the mood of this time of the year, you can see the houses decorated with lights and ornaments.

Day 338: Where we belong

Hello, hello!! Another beautiful day in the Bay Area!  Today, the sun appeared again :)  I don't know how long it will last though because the sky is covered with clouds, but nevertheless I'm happy to see it again.

Day 337: Drops of light

Happy rainy Wednesday!!  What are your plans for today? It's still pouring outside :)  I must confess though that the sound of the rain is quite soothing. Today I didn't take my big camera out because it was raining too much, but thank God I had my cellphone! hehehe

Rule number one: always always always if you go out take a camera with you (it doesn't matter which camera, just grab one!).

In this particular photo I was experimenting with colors.

Day 325: Frozen in time

Friday, Friday, Friday!! Yeah!!!  I'm so looking forward to this weekend!

I started another series of nature with rain drops, so stay tuned for the next photos :)  I love the look of flowers and leaves after the rain, the water drops make them look whimsical.

Today was the perfect day for sleep and watch TV in the comfort of your home while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate! mmmm yummy yummy... It was stormy and cold... I want the sunny days back!!!

Day 317: Colors

Hello again!  I feel sooo sleepy today :o  I can't stop yawing every 5 minutes, maybe I'll take a nap later :P  I guess that's one of the perks of not working hihihihi

I picked up a lot of leaves about 2 weeks ago.  I was planing on doing some crafts with them, but I didn't do it on time (complicated days) so they became dry.

Day 306: Falling Red Star

Of course, after heavy rain, most of the leaves of the trees were on the ground.  I must admit that they looked really nice.  They were close to each other forming a red carpet.

Even though I took a photo of the massive fallen leaves, I chose to upload this lonely leaf that was separated from the rest.

Howdy friends! Do you feel sleepy like me? hehe Since yesterday I'm feeling sleepy around noon time, maybe I need to take a nap :P

Day 300: Fall Colors

Happy post 300!! I can't believe we are only 65 days left to the end of the year!  It went by so fast!

I love the colors of the fall!  They go from green to yellow to red.  The combination of those colors on the trees just look amazing!

Day 287: Figment of the imagination

What do you see in the photo? A leaf or maybe the head of a bird with a huge beak?  I definitely see a bird hehehe and I can also see its eye! Amazing how our imagination works, right?

Day 282: Butterfly

I was walking to the mail box today when I saw a beautiful leaf on the ground. I grabbed it and thought, this is gonna be my inspiration for today's photo :)  My original idea wasn't the final photo though, I tried different angles (I wanted to have a very sharp and close-up image of the nervations of the leaf) but none of the photos seemed to be right, at least according to my judgment :P

After a while I thought I had the photo but I was wrong, it just wasn't as good as I thought it would be.  So, the only alternative was to take more photos, of course!

I'm happy that I did it because I came up with a totally different approach to the subject :)
For me, today's photo is a red butterfly resting on a stick.

Day 271: Hidden place

I guess she was trying to relax a bit before starting the day and maybe she wanted to take a sun bath. What I can tell you for sure is that she was aware of me :P

Day 257: Let it in

When the afternoon sun enters our bedroom you can see the shadow of the tree that is just in front of our apartment reflected on the wardrobe.

I like this photo because of the fragility that it seems to have.  I love the transparency of the leaf and the shape that it has.
