Day 359: Merry Christmas!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! It finally arrived!!! Did Santa bring you nice presents? It seems like we were nice this year because we received a lot of presents hehehehehe

But, I must say that the most important things I received were love, care, harmony and peace. Thanks hon for giving me all of that always!!

Day 358: Presents

Tonight is Christmas Eve!! Yay!!! In Argentina it's customary to open the presents at midnight :)  I must tell you... is so tempting to open the presents before that time, since you see all of the them on the Christmas Tree, but one must control the urge hehehe

Cooking time started today!!! Everything needs to be ready for Christmas Eve. There is so much to do and so short time! Anyway... it is also important not to rush and take the time to prepare the food with love and care! :D

Day 348: Christmas Spirit

Christmas is soooo close!!!  I can't hardly wait!! I wanted to celebrate the merry spirit of Christmas photographing ornaments related to this happy holiday.

Day 307: Metal and Nuts

I wanted to take a photo of this object since a while ago.  I like the colors, the shapes, but most of all I really like the texture and the roughness of it.  I've always been drawn to this kind of objects, for some reason I love to photograph them.

Day 306: Falling Red Star

Of course, after heavy rain, most of the leaves of the trees were on the ground.  I must admit that they looked really nice.  They were close to each other forming a red carpet.

Even though I took a photo of the massive fallen leaves, I chose to upload this lonely leaf that was separated from the rest.

Day 303: Tulips

Hello again!! This is an update regarding the tulips post.  I checked the photos below in another computer and for my surprise the photo that looked better was the one that in my monitor looked dull!! My brain started to overheat and I thought how can this be happening?!! It was working perfectly fine with the previous posts.  I continued reading and it seems like it was more complex than I first thought.  The problem with the visualization of colors in not only related with the color gamut but with the different browsers that you use to see the photo!! Grrrr!!
At least now I understand a bit more about the problem, but still need more researching...

Thank God it's Thursday!! It was an annoying and frustrating day today :(  I took several photos of the tulips that my lovely hubby gave me. I was happy with the shots, but after I exported the chosen on to upload it to the blog the colors weren't just right! The photo looked dull.  I suspected it was related with the wide gamut that the original photo have and probably the jpeg couldn't handle it.  I searched on the internet a way to solve my problem but none of the suggestions worked, I couldn't convert the image to look like the original one :(

In the end, I made a print screen and the colors looked kind of like the original.  I want to share with you both photos, so you can see why I'm complaining :P

Oh well... I'll need to search more and try to find out what to do in this kind of situations.

Day 300: Fall Colors

Happy post 300!! I can't believe we are only 65 days left to the end of the year!  It went by so fast!

I love the colors of the fall!  They go from green to yellow to red.  The combination of those colors on the trees just look amazing!

Day 282: Butterfly

I was walking to the mail box today when I saw a beautiful leaf on the ground. I grabbed it and thought, this is gonna be my inspiration for today's photo :)  My original idea wasn't the final photo though, I tried different angles (I wanted to have a very sharp and close-up image of the nervations of the leaf) but none of the photos seemed to be right, at least according to my judgment :P

After a while I thought I had the photo but I was wrong, it just wasn't as good as I thought it would be.  So, the only alternative was to take more photos, of course!

I'm happy that I did it because I came up with a totally different approach to the subject :)
For me, today's photo is a red butterfly resting on a stick.

Day 266: Gridded colors

I was experimenting with the camera again :)  My original idea wasn't this photo but truth is I didn't like my original idea once I could see it, so I tried other approaches and voila!

Day 263: Hail to the sky

I like the translucency of the leaves in general, with a nice backlite you can see the details of the leaf.

Day 261: Oldies but Goldies

These two items were also gifts from two of my girlfriends:)  The notebook (thanks Juli!) has more than 8 years! Amazing, right? I guess you can tell is quite old just to look at the peeled cover hehe The pen (thanks Vane!) is newer but it has at least 6 years hehehe and still working like the first day!

Day 260: Chloe

This is one of our fishes, her name is Chloe and it was a gift from one of my girlfriends, thanks Sandra! :D  She has quite a temper and it's the leader of the group (her sisters are Fligly, Finny and Daisy).

The photo is granny because my ISO had to be quite high, but it was the only way to achieve this shot.

Day 253: Love is everywhere

I found this beautiful leaf on one of my walks.  It's quite curious how this leaf decayed... and formed a heart shape...

Day 252: Looking up

I can't help but love the colors of the leaves while been bathing by the sun.  It give me the feeling of life and happiness.

Day 248: Peaceful

This was the view from the restaurant that we went, just DELIGHTFUL!! There was a nice breeze and the day was warm.  It's amazing how the view can change your eating experience :)

Day 244: Almost falling

In this photo you can really feel the change of the season.  The leaves already know that their time has come to an end... but they will be back next year!

At the end, the leaf starts to become brownish and to shrink.
